MAGGIE TRUAX
DIRECTOR, CLIENT SERVICES
Maggie is a strategic communications leader with over 15 years of experience offering expertise in corporate and political communications, and public affairs. She specializes in developing long-term, strategic media and public relations campaigns, and has extensive experience in crisis management. Maggie most recently served as Global Director of Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Issues Management for the world’s largest restaurant chain, Subway.
Prior to her work with Subway, Maggie spent six years with Bluejacket Strategies assisting a variety of corporate, non-profit organizations and elected officials focusing on brand communications, public relations, executive thought leadership, issue advocacy, and political campaigns. Prior to joining Bluejacket, Maggie worked with the public relations firm Sunshine Sachs, where her clients ranged from celebrity chefs, to startup companies, to one of New York City’s largest hospital and healthcare networks. She also served as the Director of Public Relations for the New York City Opera.
Maggie’s political experience includes serving as Deputy Press Secretary for New York Governor David A. Paterson; Communications Director for Congressman Scott Murphy (D-NY); and in senior communications roles on various political campaigns including the 2022 NY-21 Congressional campaign for candidate Matt Castelli, the 2018 New York State Attorney General special election for candidate Leecia Eve, and the 2014 New York State Gubernatorial campaign for incumbent Andrew Cuomo.
Maggie holds a B.A. in Political Science from Siena College. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and 3 kids, Grace, Ben and Jovie.
