The role:
We are looking to provide leverage to smart and ambitious associates who want to build their knowledge in public relations. Associates work across a range of businesses that are expanding their innovative ideas and technology to the market. The individuals should have a passion for communications and a can-do attitude that aligns well with a team that thinks creatively, asks questions and doesn’t settle for anything less than delivering profound value for our clients.
We’re looking for someone who is intellectually curious about business and consumes news and trends to be on the outlook for ‘what’s next.’ This person should also like to research, write, engage with clients, discover new media sources (podcasts, blogs, videos), and help shape new and growing brands.
This role is full-time (W2) and pays a salary commensurate with experience as well as full benefits.
Duties:
Media relations - Find new contacts and secure press coverage, speaking engagements and awards/recognition for clients.
Research – Look for trends and insights to help tell stories.
Writing – Initiate and edit client communications, memos, press releases and other materials.
Project management – Maintain the PR dashboard and task boards, keeping clients informed and the internal team apprised of key dates and deliverables.
Operations - Work closely with the Archie leadership team to improve our firm’s practices, processes, and PR and marketing efforts.
Social media - Publish and socialize our blog and newsletter.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience either at an agency or in-house (agency preferred)
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, finance or related field
Demonstrable writing and research ability
Interest in financial services, fintech, innovative tech companies, and/or social impact
Self-starter who is eager to learn and take actions to champion our clients
Strong organizational and communications skills
